1) Dr. Anusuya Gehlot, Associate Professor, has attended an international symposium on (PETA) People for Ethical Treatment of Animals, on 19.01.2012, held at AIIMS ,NEW DELHI. The event was made more successful by the presence of eminent speakers like Dr. R.C. Deka (Director, AIIMS), Dr. Y.K. Gupta(PHOD Pharmacology, AIIMS), Dr, M. Akbarsha, Dr. John Pawlowski (Harvard Medical School), Dr. David Dewhurst, (University Of Edinburgh) respectively

2) Dr.Anusuya Gehlot,Associate Professor(Pharmacology) has attended the National workshop on Pharmacovigilance from Feb 21st to 23rd, 2012 held at Indian Institute of Public Health-Delhi,Gurgaon-122002,Haryana,India.
Targets of this workshop were to provide knowledge regarding:
- Basics of Pharmacovigilance;
- Early detection of ADRs;
- Collection of safety data in clinical trials and in post-marketing setting;
- MedDRA Dictionary and coding;
- Causality andcorrelation in drug safety data;
- Group work(SAE form filling ,etc.);
- Regulatory aspects of pharmacovigilance;
- Ethics in drug safety ;
- Drug-drug interactions, and many more practical aspects were discussed in the groups

3) Dr.Anusuya Gehlot has attended a workshop on Clinical Research Training Course(CRCT) organised by Department of Pharmacology, Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi from 16th April to 20th April,2012.
The course content included ;

WORKSHOP ON PHARMACOVIGILANCE

 

A workshop on Pharmacovigilance – “A Clinician’s Perspective” was organized in the Council Hall by the Department of Pharmacology, Dr S N Medical College, Jodhpur, in association with the “Knowledge Academy” on 07.12.2011, was a very successful scientific session.

It was inaugurated by Dr. R.K. Aseri, Principal and Controller of the institute by his welcome and introductory address on the subject.  A talk was delivered by Dr. (Mrs) Omi Chouhan, Professor and Head of Pharmacology on the subject and various activities conducted by the department for this subject.  Dr. G.D. Khilnani, an eminent speaker of the session, discussed the subject for about 60 minutes.  Dr. Akhil Chattwal (Manager, Abbott Knowledge Academy), briefed our team and Principal prior to the workshop and there was a brief introduction by Mr. Manoj Prabhu, about this scientific forum and various activities held by tem, throughout the year, in the country.

In between the event, felicitation of Senior Teachers and other faculty members was also done.  This scientific session was attended by about 161 persons from our medical faculty.  All the participants were given the ‘Certificate of Participation’ along with a kit containing a valuable CD on the subject.  The target of the workshop was to give the basic knowledge regarding the subject, specially to undergraduates, interns, postgraduates, etc.

Anchoring of the event was carried out by Dr. (Mrs) Neeta Trehan.  Our faculty members, Dr. Rajkumar Rathore and Dr. Kamal K Khichi welcomed all the delegates and participants.  This venture made successful by a query session too, by the learned Pharmacologists.  Lastly, Dr. (Mrs) Anusuya Gehlot, has given a word of Thanks.  Event was followed with high tea and sacks.
