There are three hospitals attached with the medical college:-
New Medical College Hospital:-
This hospital is newly constructed inside the medical college boundary.† Approximately 1000 bedded hospital having huge infrastructure. The building consist of more than 30 wards (Right now only 4 wards are functioning), 1 ICU/ICCU (not functioning), 17 OTís (only one OT is functioning). A separate block is assign to Investigation Laboratories on the ground floor but right now these are working temporarily.
Approximately 21280 patients were treated in the OPD from Sep08-Aug09. Approximately 1796 patients were treated in IPD in last year. 120 beds are presently functioning while 25 wards are currently unoperational.
J. K. Lon Mother & Child Hospital:-
This hospital established in 1973 with an approximate 320 bedded strength. Presently Gynecology and Paed departmentís services are catered in this hospital. This hospital is well equipped with 14 wards in which 6 wards are special wards, 3 intensive care units( 1 for gynecology and 2 for Paed), 6 operation theatres in which 4 are main operation theatres while two OTís are running for Emergency services.
Approximately 164491 patients were treated in OPD in 2008 (80965 for PAED and Approximately 83526 for gynecology). Approximately 35606 patients were treated in IPD in the year of 2008. Approx 20 Operations are performing every day.
Maharao Bhim Singh Hospital:-
This is the main hospital of the city. This hospital is well equipped with new areas of medical science like Neurosciences. This hospital consists of 22 wards (including male & female), 10 Operation theatres in which 8 are main/Major operation theatres and 1 each for Emergency services and Minor OT. A separate building block is well equipped central laboratory in which Pathology, Microbiology and Biochemistry lab services are there. Approximate every department has its own ICU and Day care units.
Approximately 638 bedded hospital catering 362639 patients were treated in OPD in 2008 and Approximately 28507 patients were treated In IPD in 2008. Averagely 20 surgical procedures are performing every day.
